| I've done some searching and found a few things that can generally be related to wheel hop. (Subframe bushings, sagging shocks/springs) I recently purchased the SPL Coilovers and the SPL Solid Aluminum Subframe and Differential bushings. I also have the Leader Gears installed. (Loud, but wow.... what a awesome change!!!) At ZCon I was at a Drag event and hoped my first time down the strip would be rather un-eventfull. Granted I had my setup too stiff for the Drag event, didn't change my Street Tires air pressure and more then likely dumped the clutch too fast, I experienced a decent amount of wheel hop through first. On spirited driving, especially from a stop I can swing the back end out without and hop, as long as I'm not going in a straight line. When I have a rather quick start in a straight line there is a decent amount of wheel hop until I let off and get back on it. I've done some testing at the extreme settings on the SPL Coilovers (settings 2 and 13) and I still have about the same amount of wheel hop. I've also tested with a slight roll in reverse and then a quick release of the clutch in first and I get a clean wheel spin without any hop at all. I really what to get rid of this once and for all and I don't know what else to test/modify. Could it just be my tires? (BF Goodrich T/A KDW) Could it by my stock LSD trying to keep both wheels spinning the same? HICAS playing games? Stock traction control rods?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! Brandon
